Requires Bethesda.net account
In a surprise update, The Evil Within 2 has scored a new difficulty mode and cheat codes. If players link their game to a Bethesda.net account, they’ll unlock the “AKUMU” difficulty option and various cheat codes that enable things like infinite stamina, invincibility, and one-hit kills. This update is available on all platforms (PC, PS4, Xbox One).
Why this was done is anyone’s guess, but it certainly is a welcome addition. I miss the days of unlocking cheat codes in games. Some of my best memories of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater are when I put on moon gravity and floated on top of buildings. While it is nice to have a super challenging game that pushes me to my limits, sometimes I just want to jump in and blow off steam with gigantic heads or slow-motion.
