Naughty Dog caught fans off guard with the announcement of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. Ostensibly following up on the success of last year’s The Last of Us Part 1, the game will be released on PS5 this January and is receiving a massive physical release.
Here’s what’s included in The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered WLF Edition if you’re a big fan of the series.
What does The Last of Us Part 2 WLF Edition include?
Available to pre-order on December 5, you can get The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered WLF Edition through PlayStation Direct. It won’t be available at regular retailers. It includes:
- A gorgeous Steelbook case featuring concept art
- Four enamel pins based on logos and objects from The Last of Us Part 2
- A Washington Liberation Front Patch
- 47 different Society of Champions trading cards that Ellie collects in the game. Eight of them are actually holographic.
“These were a favorite of Part 2 players to collect in-game, and we’re so happy we could bring these to life,” said Naughty Dog when talking about the trading cards on its blog.
Where will this special edition be sold?
Currently, there are a few select markets where The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered WLF Edition will be sold. PlayStation outlines that people from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg), Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Austria can purchase this special edition. Sorry, Canadians, Mexicans, and everyone else around the world.
Neither Naughty Dog nor PlayStation has provided a price for the WLF Edition. If you decide to skip the special edition release, upgrading the original PS4 release of The Last of Us Part 2 will only set you back $10.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered includes new outfits, lost levels cut from the final product last time, and even a roguelike survival mode called No Return. It releases on January 19.
