Acclaimed remake headed to Steam
Spring, perhaps best known for its bright lights, sweet flowers, and promise of a sparkling new year, will find itself a little clouded over in the coming year, following the news that brutal misery fest The Last of Us Part I will be making its way to PC, (via Steam) on March 3, 2023.
As announced during yesterday evening’s Game Awards, Naughty Dog’s critically acclaimed (if somewhat expensive) remake will be making the leap from PS5 to desktops everywhere, offering PC players the chance to check out its modernized gameplay mechanics, overhauled controls, and stunning visual clarity — not to mention its hugely impressive range of new accessibility options.
The Last of Us Part I is the definitive edition of the award-winning 2013 release — a grim tale of two survivors thrust together within a rapidly decaying world. Celebrated for its gut-punch storytelling, frightening array of mutants, and claustrophobic atmosphere, The Last of Us would be remastered for PS4 just one year later, before receiving the full remake treatment in September of this year.
The Last of Us Part I launches on PC March 3, 2023 with pre-orders now live on Steam. Additionally, Netflix’s live-action adaptation, The Last of Us, will hit the streaming service on January 15, 2023.
