War…what is it good for?
Anyone hoping to fire up Darksiders on their PS4, Xbox One or Wii U will be sad to learn that the game has been delayed. Originally planned to release next week, the game will now be targeting November 22, 2016 as a release date. The PC (which doesn’t even really need a new port) will be heading to the front on November 29.
I’ve never managed to play this series. My friend had the game when it came out, but it was passed around through my group of friends and they never managed to sit down and finish the game. As such, I eventually just bought the PC version for $5 and still somehow let it sit dormant.
While I’ve heard people describe it as Zelda grown up, I never got that from my initial viewing of the game. It looks more like God of War done stupid, but maybe I’m just being harsh at the opening segment. It also kind of reminded me of Prototype, but I guess I’m just grasping at straws.
Either way, the technical details are still the same for this port; The PS4 and Xbox One versions will run at 1080p and 60 frames per second while the Wii U version will be 1080p at 30 frames per second. The fact that anyone is currently making a Wii U game is cool, so I hope people who only own Nintendo’s weird experiment will be happy.
