Hey, Scrooge — if you were disappointed to hear that next week’s Rock Band DLC would be a three-song holiday-themed back, stop pouting. Harmonix and MTV Games have announced that a three-song Foo Fighters pack will be available as well.
The track pack includes “DOA,” from the Foo’s fifth album, In Your Honor, along with “Times Like These” from 2002’s One By One, and “This is a Call” from their 1995 self-titled debut. The three-pack will run you $5.49 (440 MS Points), with individual tracks price at the usual $1.99 (160 MS Points).
This is good news for fans of the Foo Fighters, who can already play the entirety of The Colour and the Shape in Rock Band. But it begs the question: by releasing all of these single tracks, where does that leave the fate of the individual albums? Harmonix and MTV Games should just bite the bullet and make every song that features guitar, drums, bass, and vocals available for Rock Band.
Get on that, guys. Also, all of the songs should be free. And you should pay us to play them. I have good ideas; I hope someone is listening.
