Not surprisingly, the PC beta for Call of Duty: World at War is going to be very easy to get into, so I better not hear any stories about how you bought a key for $80 on eBay like I’ve been hearing from people in the Xbox 360 beta. Sadly, I’m not joking.
Firstly, if you pre-order the WWII shooter at GameStop, you are guaranteed a code. But because pre-ordering is for suckers, you can also nab a key by signing up here, even after the beta has commenced.
Interestingly enough, the PC version of World at War will contain Xbox LIVE-esque friends functionality which will require that your online profile is attached to a CD key and is also an obvious attempt at cracking down on piracy. Can you blame ’em?
