Though there’s, as yet, nothing on the official Team Fortress 2 website, Valve has launched a new Steam Community Group dedicated to keeping players updated about the new beta testing phase.
“We’ll be using this group to send out announcements related to the competitive beta as well as seed beta invites for the expansion of the closed beta,” states the group description. “If that sounds like a thing you need, get in here!”
