This Max Payne movie trailer will leave you scratching your head (Update) Posted 4 September 2008 by Nick Chester Recommended VideosI’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a fan of Mark Wahlberg’s work. His performance in Fear will have me keeping a close eye on my future daughter, and P.T. Anderson’s Boogie Nights is — without a doubt — one of my favorite films of all time. Also, “Good Vibrations” is my ring tone when Niero calls me. So I’ve been very open to the film adaptation of Max Payne, starring Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. But after seeing this International trailer for the film, I’m not sure what to think anymore. Sure, it actually looks like a pretty decent action movie, with a lot of things exploding and Wahlberg really embracing the whole brooding ex-cop thing. But then there’s monsters … with wings … and something about Satan. Granted, it’s been awhile since I’ve played Max Payne or Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, but I don’t remember killing any demons. Or do I? This trailer has me so confused. Max Payne, a story of one man’s battle against Satan and the Hatian mob (and maybe even aliens!), is set to hit theaters on October 17.
