Miyamoto is Bowser’s mom?
Yesterday, Nintendo hyped up a video from their own Shigeru Miyamoto, who would reveal “myths” about the Mario series, some of which have plagued fans for years. The biggest draw was probably the identity of Bowser Jr.’s (and by extension, the Koopaling’s) mother.
Well, Miyamoto answered all the questions with simple hand gestures and head nods, and revealed himself as the matriarch of the Koopa family. Um, okay….
It’s absolutely adorable, but I actually thought there would be more to this. The only big reveal is the fact that Miyamoto admits (unless he takes it back later) that Mario 3 was entirely a performance, which I take to mean that it was literally a “play” and the events didn’t actually happen within the confines of video game-dom.
