Developer Super Evil Megacorp revealed during the Nintendo Indie Showcase on April 17, 2024, that previously Apple Arcade exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Splintered Fate is coming to the Switch. Splintered Fate lets players jump into the role of either of their four favorite Turtles and explore New York City in roguelike fashion while searching for a kidnapped Splinter. The Switch release is scheduled for July of 2024.
If you think TMNT is the perfect universe for roguelike treatment, Splintered Fate does it pretty well. Utilizing fast-paced action combat, Splintered Fate allows players to explore randomly generated room layouts while seeking out random power-ups to take down bosses with random modifiers.
You can also play with up to four players, each taking control of one of the iconic turtles. Along the way you can unlock new powers for the turtles as well as level-up existing ones to become even stronger as you progress further and further into the roguelike.
I never got to try out TMNT Splintered Fate since I’m on Android, but once it hits Switch I think it’s definitely worth checking out. I’ve been on a roguelike kick lately as I prep for Hades 2 so I’m down to Hang Ten for a bit.
TMNT Splintered Fate is coming to Switch in July 2024.
