Crystal Dynamics’ Tim Longo — who was previously creative director on (the new) Tomb Raider, and more recently had the role of franchise director for the series — has been brought on by LucasArts. He’s going to be the creative director on an unannounced project.
Gamasutra broke the news, publishing that the company is “thrilled to welcome him back to the LucasArts family,” according to a statement issued by a rep.
Prior to his involvement with Crystal Dynamics, Longo was lead level designer on Star Wars: Starfighter, lead designer on Jedi Starfighter, and lead designer/director on Republic Commando.
I’d just like to take this opportunity to remind the powers that be about the serious need for more space combat games. If any potential future titles of this nature happen to be about Star Wars, I won’t complain. Honest!
