Battles in Jujutsu Kaisen are usually decided by the overall mastery and power of one’s cursed technique. But given how they can range from the ability to manipulate space to the power to increase your physical prowess by dancing your heart out, which CTs can be considered the strongest?
Here are the 10 strongest Cursed Techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen, as well as what makes each of them so impactful.
10. Star Rage
Can you imagine getting hit by a punch weighing actual tons? Yuki Tsukumo’s Star Rage allows her to perform hits like that by adding virtual mass to herself and to her shikigami, Garuda. The technique also allows them to pin and crush targets. As a trump card, she can also produce a black hole by continuously gathering mass, even if at a steep cost.
The technique’s biggest downfall, however, lies in its inability to offer an increase in resistance. As showcased in Yuki’s battle against Kenjaku, that makes the constant use of Reverse Cursed Technique a must.
9. Cursed Speech
Exclusive to those making use of the Snake Eyes and Fangs seal in any form, Cursed Speech allows its user to make irrefutable commands to all listeners. The strength of the commands will depend on the amount of cursed energy put into them and on the user’s mastery.
An extremely versatile technique capable of killing targets on the spot, Cursed Speech becomes even more dangerous if we consider how it can be used over speakers, phones, and the like. On the downside, targets can shield themselves from its effect by manipulating their own CE. Stronger commands will also take a toll on the user’s body.
8. Projection Sorcery
Projection Sorcery allows its user to trace a set path and then follow it within 1 second and at 24 frames per second. All touched by the user while moving will also be locked within the 24-frame rule. All affected will be locked in place if they fail to abide by it and move naturally within the timeframe.
Although Projection Sorcery can allow its users to move at an unprecedented speed, the traced path cannot be changed once chosen. This means that if the opponent can predict its course and react accordingly, the user will become open.
7. Idle Transfiguration
The stuff of nightmares, Mahito’s Idle Transfiguration allows him to freely alter the form of his soul and that of any being touched by his palms. As the form of the soul governs the body, that allows him to either change the shape or simply kill all affected in one hit. When applied to himself, he can freely change his shape and heal himself from any non-soul-related injuries.
On the downside, Idle Transfiguration’s dependence on touch makes long-range techniques a bad match-up. Mahito, however, can completely counter that by using Self-Embodiment of Perfection. The domain expansion allows him to alter the shape of all souls inside it, no matter how far they are from him.
6. Cursed Spirit Manipulation
Suguru Geto’s technique, Cursed Spirit Manipulation allows its user to consume any defeated curses to get control over them. There’s no limit to the number of curses one can consume, which can allow the control of armies of thousands.
As shown by both Geto and Kenjaku, users are also able to fuse the cursed energy of the spirits in their command to perform Maximum: Uzumaki. The technique produces a massive blast of concentrated CE. After performing Uzumaki, the techniques of all spent curses above semi-grade 1 will become available for the caster for a single use.
5. Ten Shadows
Megumi Fushiguro’s Ten Shadows allows him to become one with the dark and summon ten different shikigami from within it. But there’s a catch, as most shikigami can only be controlled after being defeated by him on a ritual. As showcased in the anime and the manga, the technique also allows him to fuse multiple conquered entities momentarily.
Among the ten available shadows, Divine General Mahoraga deserves the spotlight. As the technique’s strongest, Mahoraga can adapt to all scenarios (or techniques) within a fixed amount of time. The shikigami also proved its might by holding its own against the effects of Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine.
4. Comedian
Sometimes there’s power in simplicity. Fumihiko Takaba’s Comedian allows him to turn anything into reality as long as he thinks it’s funny. As an example, the technique allows him to heal, nullify attacks, and freely manipulate the fabric of existence by simply thinking it would be funny to do so. The above causes the only limit for the technique to be in the user, as a lack of genuine confidence in one’s “jokes” can render it meaningless.
3. Copy
A cursed technique exclusive to Yuta Okkotsu, Copy allows him to duplicate and then perform the cursed techniques of others at will. He can also use multiple copied techniques in succession at no drawback while in his domain, as showcased in the Makyo Shinjuku battle.
To add a few restrictions to what can feel like the strongest CT in the series, Yuta can only use Copy by utilizing Rika as a medium. He can also only maintain the copied techniques for a maximum of 5 minutes. All techniques must also be within the limits of his own body and energy.
2. Limitless
Mastered by Satoru Gojo through the use of the Six Eyes, Limitless allows him to control the variables within Infinity. That, in turn, makes him capable of creating the ultimate combo of invulnerability, speed, and power.
Infusing Cursed Energy into Limitless can also give birth to techniques such as Blue and Red. By combining the two, Gojo can perform his trump card Hollow Technique: Purple to produce either a devastating imaginary mass projectile or what feels like his own pocket version of the Big Bang.
1. Shrine
The Cursed Technique of Ryomen Sukuna, Shrine allows him to slash anything in his path like an ingredient in his cutting board. The technique has four forms, Dismantle, Cleave, Spider Web, and Divine Flame. While the first three can be performed at will, Divine Flame can only be cast after its user performs the first two.
Although the technique does not add much defensively, its ability to adjust to the density of targets with Cleave and cut even the space itself with Dismantle make Shrine the best among all the Cursed Techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen.
