The teaser trailer for Trials Evolution was a pleasant surprise at E3. In about three seconds of gameplay footage, we got a glimpse at outdoor environments and multiplayer. Redlynx co-founder Antti Ilvessuo has gone into more depth with Eurogamer.
“We have two to four player multiplayer, both locally and online,” says Ilvessuo. “Everyone drives on the same screen and the same track, but on their own driving line. We have a few good tricks to keep the competition fierce and balanced.”
“Everything is very easy to find and nicely organized,” he says of the track sharing hub. The level editor itself has seen an “incredible amount of changes,” and there will be more mini-games, open environments, and “curved driving lines” in the game as well.
Redlynx hopes to get Trials Evolution up on Xbox Live Arcade “between the end of summer and the end of the year.” Such a tremendous year for digital games.
