Two patches are incoming to fix online issues in Dragon Ball FighterZ

One in February, one in March

Bandai Namco and Arc System Works have outlined their plans to address some of the online connectivity problems plaguing Dragon Ball FighterZ. “We’re aware of the situation, and keen to resolve [Ring Match and disconnection issues] with all our might,” says producer Tomoko Hiroki.

An update is planned for this month, but Bandai Namco doesn’t expect it to fix “everything all at once.” As such, a second patch will come in mid or late March to “gradually resolve” the remaining issues.

“Rest assured that we will not stop until the fix has been completed,” Hiroki assured.

It might not be the ideal response, but just knowing what’s ahead definitely helps allay fears. Regular communication from developers is a beautiful thing even if they don’t have all the answers yet.
