In the grim, nuclear future of 2007… we must ride bikes
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a rare example of Ubisoft having a cool idea, it being well-received, and then not immediately being ran into the ground with sequels and spinoffs. In fact, people have been clamouring for some new Blood Dragon for a while now, and it looks like the time has finally come… just not in the way you would’ve expected.
According to Taiwan’s Game Software Rating Regulations Board, Trials of the Blood Dragon is due to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
The game hasn’t been officially confirmed by Ubisoft yet, but it doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to guess what it is: Trials-style motorbike platforming with Blood Dragon’s ‘80s aesthetic. Neon, cyborgs, American patriotism, big hair, synth, muscles, bikes.
I’m sure most people just want more Far Cry: Blood Dragon, but I’d totally be up for the Blood Dragon IP jumping across different Ubisoft series. Assassin’s Creed: Blood Dragon? Rainbow Six: Blood Dragon? Grow Home: Blood Dragon?
Now that could be iconic.
