Chun-Li is famous for a few reasons, most of which include speculation about her gender: she may or may not be a post-op transsexual; she may or may not have a pubic bulge. I know for a fact that she has huge man-hands to match her thunder-thighs.
Thankfully, UDON Entertainment’s version of Chun-Li is delightfully unambiguous. If the cover of the new Street Fighter Legends: Chun-Li is anything to go by, Chun-Li is indeed a lady. A very graceful and badass lady.
Rather, I suppose she’s a young woman. The new, 4-issue mini series, penned by Ken Siu-Chong and Omar Dogon, explores Chun-Li’s early life as a rookie cop with the Hong Kong Police Department. Street Fighter Legends: Chun-Li will also elaborate on the lives of relative unknowns Dorai and Go Hibiki (Chun-Li and Dan’s fathers, respectively) and Po-Lin, Chun-Li’s partner, who has her own reasons for investigating Shadaloo.
Street Fighter Legends: Chun-Li will hit shelves in January. In the meantime, you can read UDON’s Street Fighter II Turbo #1 for free and check out their other upcoming comic, Street Fighter IV. If you’re still itching for Street Figher comics after that, you can read Malibu’s laughably bad take on the game.
Here’s hoping UDON included a shower scene.
