British people love their racism, so it’s not surprising that the totally racist Resident Evil 5 has topped the UK charts this week, sending Empire: Total War from the previous top spot right down to number eight. Methinks the BNP has been buying a few copies for the office.
In other news, Wii Fit has now made its way to number two in the charts, proving that people are always willing to be suckered in by weight-loss snake oil. Professor Layton is still riding high at number four, which used to confuse me until I saw a TV commercial with the ugly slag from Friends promoting it like just another casual Brain Training game. No wonder the mediocre masses like it.
Killzone 2 and Halo Wars are still toughing it out in the top ten, FIFA 09 is of course there, as is Mario & Sonic. The big shocker this week is that there is NO sign of Guitar Hero. OMG ACTIVISION IS GOING BUST!
Hit the jump for the full charts, anyway.
