One of the first real new showings during Gamescom: Opening Night Live was Unknown 9: Awakening, a game about a woman “raised on the streets of Kolkata and haunted by visions of her own death.” The protagonist, Haroona, can “manipulate the unseen” using a hidden dimension called The Fold.
I’m semi-interested based on the teaser trailer, but the official site shows a scripted podcast, novel trilogy, and comic book series for Unknown 9, and now I’m feeling completely out of the loop.
Unknown 9: Awakening is coming to PC and unspecific “next-gen consoles.”
