When we first heard of Nintendo’s DSi, the word was that all DS games were fully compatible with the DSi, save for those that use the GBA slot. One developer begs to differ, as they’re having a bit of an issue with the new console.
This developer told PocketGamer that it is having trouble making their new game compatible with the DSi hardware. Rumor has it that games are hitting hurdles in the certification process due to these issues.
It’s hard for us to believe that Nintendo would release this new console without double checking for backwards compatibility with current DS titles. Let’s just hope that this developer has come across some bug. If there really was something to titles working on the DS and not in the DSi, Nintendo could have some real trouble on their hands when the console launches in Japan in two days.
