[Update: Turns out PC Gamer’s information about a parallel release was incorrect. It sounds like it will not release simultaneously with the PS4 version.]

For the first time in franchise history, a Drakengard/Nier game will be playable on PC. How long will PC users have to wait on the port? Not at all, as Square Enix told PC Gamer that the PC version of NieR: Automata will release March 7 in North America and March 10 in Europe and Australia, 2017.

Nier‘s long-awaited sequel was announced to release on March 7 in North America for PlayStation 4 during the PlayStation Experience event in Anaheim. California, but there was no word about a PC release date at that time. Releasing games simultaneously across all platforms is a good trend, though it shouldn’t even be a topic of discussion. Assuming it was made for PS4 first, hopefully they don’t rush the job and end up having to patch it all up after release. When games are buggy at launch it loses all the favor you earned from the quick release and then some.
