Kyle Katarn returns
[Update: Aspyr has confirmed that not only will Jedi Knight 2 be heading to Switch, but so will Jedi Academy. The 2003 sequel to this classic game, Jedi Academy won’t be releasing until 2020. In another nice move, both titles will be coming to PS4, as well!]
Jedi, you are our only hope! A former student of Luke Skywalker has betrayed the Jedi Academy & it’s up to the New Republic’s Kyle Katarn to restore order. The full single player experience of Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast strikes back on #NintendoSwitch 9/24. pic.twitter.com/C8mqMGvMjW

I almost can’t keep up with all of the news happening right now, but the very best Star Wars game ever made, Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, is coming to Nintendo Switch with gyro controls in tow. Players will be able to re-experience Kyle Katarn’s journey to stop the evil Dessan and save the galaxy from peril. I may have fudged some of those details, but the game is really excellent.
If that wasn’t good enough, Aspyr has confirmed that the full multiplayer suite will be coming with Jedi Knight 2. The online component to the PC original was pretty incredible, with regular deathmatch modes mixed with awesome lightsaber duels. There’s even a whole mode dedicated to simple lightsaber fights, letting you skip all the other crap to get right to the goods.
Jedi Knight 2 will be releasing for Switch on September 24, 2019.
