New modes, events, bug fixes and more
Treyarch Studios have released a major update for Activision’s military shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The hefty Version 1.12 update weighs in at 7GB and brings tweaks to the FPS title’s Multiplayer, Blackout and Zombies modes.
The classic Multiplayer mode has received a series of playlist additions. These include Blackjack’s Gun Game, Safeguard, and three variants to the Moshpit mode: Hardcore, Endurance Chaos and Mercenary Capture. Weapon balancing will not take place this update, but is underway for release in Version 1.13.
Black Ops 4’s great battle royale mode, Blackout, is debuting its new limited-time mode, “Ambush”. Players will fight it out in a perpetually collapsing circle, armed with only sniper rifles, launchers and melee attacks. Sounds chaotic. A new camo progression mode is also being introduced, rewarding players with weapon skins for successful grinds in the en mass multiplayer.
Finally, the time-hopping Zombies mode receives a glut of content. Classic weapons, loot and camo progress are coming to popular co-op mode, as well as new gauntlet, titled “Veni, Vidi, Zombie!” (which is a shit pun). The “Barbarians” special event, already live on PS4, also makes its debut on the Xbox One and PC platforms. On top of all of this, bug-squishing has been done across the board.
