Multishot provides a major increase to weapon damage in Warframe. Since you shoot an additional projectile at no cost, equipping these to most weapons is a no-brainer tactic. To that end, bows have a specific mod called Split Flights.
Below, we’ll outline how to obtain Split Flight, along with the best farming methods, and the best loadouts for it.
How to Farm for Split Flights in Warframe
Unlike other things you can farm in Warframe, Split Flights is a purchasable mod via Baro Ki’Teer. He only visits once every other Friday for 48 hours. This mod costs 300 Ducats and 200,000 Credits. Also, it isn’t guaranteed he’ll always have the mod in stock. You can always save up some Platinum via trading or use real-world money to buy it from another player in the game’s trade chat.
Instead of farming a specific mission, you’ll have to farm a handful of Void Fissure missions. In public mission runs, try opting for the rarer items. Those tend to be worth more Ducats. It’s also highly recommended you only sell excess Prime weapon and frame parts.
As for credits, you’ll passively earn them as you play. Unless you need a bunch now, try farming areas like The Index and defeating the Profit Taker. After farming for a bit, you’ll have so many leftover credits that you won’t need to grind for a long time.
Is Split Flights worth it?
With two other multishot mods competing, Split Flights is worth the grind. However, it’s a very niche mod that can only be applied to bows that don’t have AoE properties already. If you were hoping to apply this to the Bramma or Nataruk, you’re out of luck.
The best bow to use Split Flights on is the Mutalist Cernos. It is the one bow that breaks the rules of no AoE weapons equipping the mod. On top of that, the gas clouds this weapon produces procs the “on hit” condition. Since they hit enemies multiple times, you’re guaranteed 400% multishot.
While there is a significant loss to the weapon’s accuracy, you’re able to produce even more clouds. This turns your bow into a shotgun that lays traps that deal damage over time.
Best Split Flights Loadout
Since our choice of weapon for this mod is the Mutalist Cernos, this is the build you should follow:
- Malignant Force
- Split Flights
- Serration
- Rime Rounds
- Hunter Munitions
- Thermite Rounds
- Galvanized Aptitude
- Vigilante Armaments
The choice of a viral and heat build ensures that enemy armor gets stripped as their health values go lower per status proc. Since so many bolts are being shot at enemies, they’re softening up and can pair well with a Condition Overload build. The Slash damage dealt by Hunter Munitions just passively kills enemies even faster. They also seem to proc whenever a cloud deals critical damage.
This build also showcases Galvanized Aptitude. If you do not have the mod, you can substitute it with one of the following mods:
- Firestorm / Primed Firestorm
- Point Strike
- Thunderbolt
- Speed Trigger
- Vile Acceleration
- Heavy Caliber
