Warzone players praise latest playlist update as best yet

Resurgence fans finally get what they have been waiting for.

Playlist updates usually make Warzone players roll their eyes when their favorite map or game mode is removed. But for once, there were no complaints with the latest map rotation.

Raven Software unveiled a new Warzone playlist update for the week of April 11-17. Notably, all squad sizes: Solos, duos, trios, and quads will be available for Resurgence matches on Rebirth Island. In Season 2 Reloaded, the devs went in a different direction, and each of the four Resurgence maps only had one squad size available per week. For example, Vondel only had trios for one playlist, and Ashika Island only supported quads. To combat this problem in previous seasons, Raven Software used a rotation cycle and changed the map for every Resurgence squad size every few minutes.

Map rotations returned in the most recent playlist update, as Quads will cycle through Rebirth Island, Ashika Island, Fortune’s Keep, and Vondel every few minutes to keep the experience fresh. Players took turns giving the devs their flowers in the comment section. “Best playlist you’ve ever had,” one player claimed.

“I speak for the whole community when I say leave all four Rebirth playlists and do not remove them,” a second user argued. That’s a reasonable request, but Raven Software has an impossible task on its hands moving forward. After adding Rebirth Island in Season 3, four different Resurgence maps exist. Leaving every squad size available on Rebirth Island works, but it is not guaranteed to last forever. There is only a limited number of players on Warzone across every platform, meaning it would be difficult to make every squad size available on every map permanently.”

While a vocal portion of the Warzone community appears to want solos, duos, trios, and quads always available on Rebirth Island, fans of other maps will also want their turn. An easy solution to this problem is a map rotation for every squad size, not just quads. But that decision would surely ruffle feathers, too, so Raven Software must pull off a miracle to satisfy everyone.
