Warzone players spend most of their energy looting for killstreaks, ammo, and money, but often overlook armor plate carriers which are actually extremely useful.
Raven Software reworked how perks work in Modern Warfare 3’s iteration of Warzone. Players can choose a pre-set or custom perk package that activates when a loadout is picked up. In addition to five default perks and the ability to loot perks, the devs also made Tempered a perk, after only being a plate carrier in the previous title.
With Tempered, players can get full armor with two plates instead of three. Some community members believe it’s one of the best perks, but there is a way to get that ability without wasting a perk slot.
How do armor plate carriers work, and how many are in Warzone?
Armor plate carriers provide players with different advantages based on their type. These passive perks vary and players will want to pick and choose based on what they need for a specific situation.
Here are all four types of Armor Plate Carriers currently available in Call of Duty: Warzone:
- Comms – Increases the effectiveness of UAVs by showing all enemy players’ direction and bearing on the minimap even if they are using Ghost or a similar perk.
- Medic – Increases the speed at which Players can revive downed Squad members, and also decreases the delay before health regen triggers.
- Stealth – Protects the Player from enemy UAVs and other targeting devices, effectively acting as a superior alternative to Ghost as it also provides immunity to Birdseye.
- Tempered – Acts as an improved armor vest that protects the same protection as the 3 Plate Carrier while only needing 2 plates. This vest makes it faster and cheaper to heal up.
Players can get all of these Armor Plate Carriers as loot on the map, or from dead enemies.
