A lot has changed since the first game was released all the way back in 2010. One of the biggest is the file sizes of games these days. So, just how big will Alan Wake 2 be?

How large is the file size for Alan Wake 2?

The original Alan Wake, which was an Xbox 360 exclusive, came in at a very dainty 6.2GB. Oh, how times have changed.

On PC, Alan Wake 2 will require 90GB of free SSD space. That’s according to the PC spec sheet, anyway. The actual file size can sometimes differ depending on your hardware or additional content that you have selected. You can check out the full PC requirement breakdown here, but buckle up. It’s a doozy.

Remedy hasn’t announced official file sizes for console yet, but they’ll likely be in the same ballpark. You’ll definitely want to clear some hard drive space off for Alan’s latest adventure.

We have a handy guide of the release times for Alan Wake 2 in each region, so make sure to give that a look if you’re planning on playing the game the second it drops. Nobody can blame you after such a long wait.
