Being an RPG, one of the most important underlying systems in Cyberpunk 2077 is the character level. As you accomplish objectives and take down enemies, you’ll gain experience towards levels, as well as a separate “Street Cred” stat.
The leveling system is pretty typical. Each level provides V with points to put towards upgrading abilities and unlocking perks. Street Cred is also important, as rising in levels will allow you to buy more gear and use more weapons and cyberware. You raise your Street Cred mainly by completing gigs for fixers.
But how do you know when you’ve beefed your V up to their apex? Or, in English, what is the max level for both street cred and beef?
Previously, the maximum level for V was 50, and the maximum Street Cred you could obtain was also 50. It’s still set at that if you’re just on 2.0, without the Phantom Liberty expansion. However, if you do shell out for the expansion, the level cap is increased to 60, while Street Cred remains at 50.
So, to sum up, the Cyberpunk 2077 level cap is 50, and the Street Cred cap is 50. If you own Phantom Liberty, the level cap is 60, while the Street Cred caps is still 50.
