Phasmophobia Hide and Seek: Hide! weekly challenge mode tips

This is one of the trickier challenges you can attempt in Phasmophobia, so here are some of the best tips you can employ to help you get it done.

  • Hide when needed. I usually prefer to run from the ghost during hunts, but the small and circular nature of the Point Hope lighthouse map makes this pretty much impossible. Hence, your only real shot at survival is hiding when the ghost comes after you.
  • Switch floors during hunts. Before you try to hide from the ghost, change which floor you’re on for a better shot at breaking the line of sight with the ghost. If the ghost loses sight of you, they’re much less likely to catch you.
  • Use Sound Sensors and Motion Sensors. Point Hope is a massive map, so one of the toughest parts of this trial is simply finding the ghost. Placing these items around the 10 levels will help you narrow down the right area to search based on what activity you pick up.
  • Place your Crucifixes as soon as possible. They’re your only real way of preventing a hunt, so get them placed around the ghost room as soon as possible to buy yourself more investigation time.
  • Watch for unofficial evidence, behaviors, and patterns. It’s tough to actually spend time investigating during this trial since the ghost is ready to hunt you almost right away, so look out for unofficial evidence to figure out what type of ghost is present. Examples of what to search for include specific noises picked up by the Sound Recorder, Ghost Orbs left behind by The Mimic, and the Wraith’s refusal to ever step in Salt.
  • Play with friends. Your odds of success are a lot better with allies helping you through this tricky trial. With additional ghost hunters at your side, you can explore the map more quickly, work together to gather evidence, and continue the investigation even if you perish.
  • Don’t give up. Since all equipment is provided for free, there’s nothing to lose in this challenge. Because of this, you can keep trying without worrying about losing money or equipment. Give each contract your all and keep at it until you get it done.
  • Make an educated guess. Some ghosts are just easier to identify than others, so luck plays a large role in how easy or tough this trial is. You should always make a guess before you leave, then reroll to try again, even if you have no idea what the correct ghost type is.
