What is this short film … thing? We don’t know. It’s related to Mortal Kombat in some capacity, that’s for sure. Whether it’s a teaser for a new game, another full-fledged film, or something else entirely, all will probably be revealed at E3.
At least, I certainly hope so; I’m dying to hear more. If the video is promotion for an unannounced Mortal Kombat title and is indicative of an all-new direction for the series, that could be mighty interesting. Some of these reimagined characters are so bizarre — and I mean that as a compliment.
Also, whoever was responsible for casting Michael Jai White (Black Dynamite) as Jax deserves a bonus.
