Creatures of the Night, I have arrived…
Good morning, Woke Moralists, and welcome to Whatcha Been Playing? They say a week is a long time in politics, and this week felt like the longest in history. I have zero issue talking topical in this here column, but it is a Saturday, it is the weekend, and we don’t have to waste this fine morning on blustery, mop-headed cretins and their insufferably lengthy downfall. I’d much rather talk about… I don’t know, Time Gal, or perhaps the fact that I have finally found ice cream that is both vegan and low-calorie! Food of the Gods, I’m telling ya.
I hope that your week has treated you and yours very kindly, and that the weekend offers you the opportunity for some rest, relaxation, and fine entertainment. And if you’re working today, know that we’ve still got your back regardless, and I appreciate that you took some time out of your day to be with us this morning. Hope you have a smooth shift and get back in your comfiest chair very soon.
Nurse Morrigan to the rescue
I’ve been a tad under the weather this week, (seemingly not COVID), so I’ve been working at half speed and spending more time on the ol’ hay bale than usual. I have found time to run around the classic scrappers that feature in the Capcom Fighting Collection, my review for which you can check out right here. Other than that, I’ve probably spent more time preparing to dive into new games than actually diving into news games. We never plan to have backlogs, they just sort of… ‘occur’. But this weekend I’m hoping to get plenty of rest with a controller in hand, so we’ll see if I finally start hacking away at those patient adventures. (If I don’t start Sekiro soon Jordan will beat me up. Seriously, he’s done it before).
Them’s The Breaks
And that’s all that you need to hear from me, it’s time to chat about you. You know the score — jump into the comments below and let your fellow Destructoid readers know whatcha been playing. The rest of July is looking a little thin, so there should be plenty of time to get stuck into that game that’s been haunting your HDD since you picked it up in a winter sale. So, whether you’re in the midst of a real gem, starting an unknown entity, or just picking through your backlog, tell us all about it. Every reply matters, read by so many fellow community members, so join the party! (Not the Conservative Party).
Have a wonderful weekend, from all of us at Destructoid.
