Who turned out the lights?
Welcome to the weekend! Once again many of you have reached the end of the working week and are looking forward to a couple of days of refueling, getting yourself in gear for Monday where you can get up and run the gauntlet once more. Others may still be plugging away, either at jobs, tasks around the home, or family affairs, but hopefully you’ve found some time this week to sit before the Black Mirror and escape with our favourite pastime.
Myself, I spent many hours this week running for my life in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout beta, which has seen me square off with 87 trigger-happy shooter fans in a desperate attempt to remain the last person standing. It’s no great spoiler to reveal that I’m yet to climb to the top of the stack, with fourth place being my highest achievement thus far. Still, I may have had my fill of the battle royale bonanza, and I will don my wings once again as Overwatch’s Mercy, as I’m far more adept at giving life, rather than taking it.
I know what you’ve been playing, though. It’s Spider-Man, right? Well, Spider-Man or a Yakuza title. That seems to be what we, the beloved Destructoid community, are all about at the moment.
