Check yerself before you wreck yerself
It’s the weekend once more, already! It feels like we just had one last week. Hopefully, you’ve all had a great week and are all sort for the weekend, whether you’re plan on spending it among friends, at home or, unfortunately, at work. Regardless of the category you fall into, try to find a special moment for yourself, be it an extra hour in bed, or even just a really great sandwich. It’s the small victories, friends.
This week has seen me spend time with three games, mostly. The ATATATATATing Fist of the North Star and, at the other extreme, Swery’s mind-bending (in multiple ways) puzzle-platformer The Missing. I also tried my hardest, I really did, to find enjoyment in WWE 2K19. Whilst I will admit I’m impressed with the amount of content on offer, and some great new moves and animations. I just don’t find the gameplay fun, or exciting, which is a pretty important element to me. Still, there’s some improvement on display… sigh... maybe next year.
How about all of you beautiful people? Are you traipsing through Ancient Greece, apocalyptic wastelands, or your friendly neighbourhood? Perhaps you’re crunching recent releases, trying to clear the slate for Red Dead Redemption 2, Soulcalibur VI or some other upcoming title. Then again, maybe you’re just chilling at your own pace which, when all is said and done, is the way you’re supposed to play all games anyway. Let us know in the comments below, friends.
