The beautiful world of Genshin Impact is getting an anime based on the events of the game. However, miHoYo and ufotable, the anime studio behind the adaptation, have remained somewhat silent. The initial trailer for the anime has excited fans, however. Here’s what we know about the Genshin Impact anime and when it’s going to be released.
Does the Genshin Impact anime have a release date?
As of the time of writing, the Genshin Impact anime doesn’t have a release date.
Not much has been shared about when the adaptation will be released for Eastern and Western audiences. What we do know is that this is going to be a “long-term collaboration project” between miHoYo and the animation studio. It could be years before we see this anime begin production if it hasn’t already.
The interest will likely be there, however, as the teaser trailer for the anime has amassed over 2.2 million views on the game’s official YouTube channel. If the spectacular animation from the trailer’s in the final product, it could be one of the best TV shows based on a video game.
What is ufotable?
If you don’t know what ufotable is, it’s the studio behind some outstanding anime series, including Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) and Fate/Zero.
Ufotable also no stranger to adapting video games into anime. Its credits include God Eater, Tales of Symphonia, and Tales of Zestiria.
It’s a highly acclaimed studio that will likely treat the source material with care. This Genshin Impact adaptation has a lot of potential based on the intriguing lore and gorgeous world.
