We’re right in the middle of MW3 and Warzone Season 2, and while Season 4 is coming, there’s one last major update to come in the form of Season 3 Reloaded. The Reloaded patches are usually the last time we’ll get new content for the season, with the developers then switching their full focus to the next season.

MW3 and Warzone Season 3 Reloaded release date

MW3 and Warzone Season 3 Reloaded launches on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

MW3 and Warzone Season 3 Reloaded start time: Countdown

The update will go live at 9 am PT / 12 pm ET / 5 pm GMT and will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. If you want to know how long you have to wait exactly, we’ve included the countdown below so you can watch the seconds tick by.

MW3 and Warzone Season 3 Reloaded early patch notes

Thanks to the Season 3 roadmap, we already know what to expect when the patch goes live on May 1. A new weapon, two new 6v6 maps, and new modes headline the patch’s additions.

BAL-27 assault rifle returns

Controversially, Advanced Warfare is one of my favorite Call of Duty titles ever, so you can only imagine how hyped I am to see the BAL-27 arrive in the Season 3 Reloaded patch.

According to Activision, the weapon features “top-loading with a reasonably rapid ammo swap,” and will “shred at closer ranges,” so could be a useful weapon in smaller maps.

Checkpoint and Grime 6v6 maps

On top of that, two new maps will also arrive in MW3 multiplayer: Checkpoint, which is a small slice of Warzone‘s Rebirth Island, and Grime which is set in an abandoned dock in London.

Three new multiplayer game modes

Escort, Minefield, and a new Vortex playlist are all joining the action with the Reloaded patch too, with the Minefield mode sounding like a lot of fun. Players who die will drop an unmovable mine, so the more enemies you kill, the harder it will be to get around the map.

Escort will see teams escort an MAW as it moves through the map, almost identical to Overwatch‘s Payload.
