The FFXIV Free Login Campaign is an event run by the team over at Square Enix, which enables previously registered players of Final Fantasy XIV to re-join the adventure without renewing their subscription for up to four days.
It differs from the Callback Campaign, in which players who previously subscribed can be invited back into the game by those who still pay their subscription because there is no invite required.
When will the next FFXIV Free to Play Campaign start?
The next Free Login Campaign starts now! From February 1 to February 21, players who have let their subscription lapse can play without subscribing for up to four days within a two-week timeframe.
These events happen every so often, but no one knows when the next one is coming until the Final Fantasy XIV team announces that it is, something that they don’t usually do until it’s already happening — as evidenced here!
The last Free Login Campaign, held in celebration of A Realm Reborn’s 10th anniversary, happened in Summer 2023 and ran from August 8 to August 31.
The previous one happened in March of 2023. 2022 had two Free Login Campaigns: one between November 18 and December 16, and the one before that was held between June 15 and June 30. Historically, we’re given two Free Login Campaigns a year.
When will the next FFXIV Callback Campaign start?
The Callback Campaign differs from the Free Login / Free to Play Campaign because it requires a currently subscribed player to invite someone back into the game.
Again, nobody knows when these Campaigns begin until they’re announced by Square Enix. And, as you might expect, they usually don’t do this until the event is already underway.
The last Callback Campaign happened very recently, beginning on November 8 2023 and finishing on December 14, so we’re not likely to see another one soon. Though that said, they may hold another one before Dawntrail drops in the Summer in order to entice people back.
Historically, we usually get one Callback Campaign a year, and the 2022 one happened in September. So, if Square Enix don’t decide to hold another one before Dawntrail, then we’ll likely see the next one towards the end of the year.
