The social MMO Palia is available now for PC players, albeit as part of a beta phase. Naturally, many would prefer to play a cozy game like this on the Nintendo Switch. Fortunately, even though Palia is only available on PC for now, developer Singularity 6 will bring the MMO to Switch in the near future.
If you are wondering when exactly Palia will launch on the Nintendo Switch, here’s what we know so far.
When is the Nintendo Switch release date for Palia?
According to Singularity 6, Palia will release on Nintendo Switch in the 2023 Holiday Season. Typically this means between November and January as that period includes many of the annual holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. It’s likely they would want to release Palia in time for Christmas.
Furthermore, fans interested in the game can already wishlist it on the Nintendo eShop. Doing so will allow you to receive updates about the game’s Nintendo Switch release date. Once Palia gets some more updates in its open beta, I’m sure we’ll get more details about the Switch launch later this year.
Will Palia be cross-play on Switch and PC?
The official Palia Twitter has confirmed that cross-play and cross-progression are in the works. Exact details are not yet available in terms of how this will work. However, in a social MMO like Palia, being able to play with your friends on other platforms is always great.
Also, with plans to offer Palia cross-progression on both platforms, that means you can easily switch between both. In other words, you can begin working on your farm by playing the PC version. If you want to play on the go, you can move to Switch and pick up right where you were once it’s released.
