Clearwater Jades are new materials added in Version 4.4 of Genshin Impact. They’re exclusive to the Chenyu Vale area and are used to ascend Xianyun. Here’s a farming route for all 71 Clearwater Jade available in the overworld.
Clearwater Jades can be found near water in the Chenyu Vale area. They look like green crystals growing from the ground or on the backs of turtles. To harvest the Jades, mine them with blunt attacks. (Don’t worry, the turtles don’t mind!) Like all local specialties, Clearwater Jades respawn 48 hours after mining.
Because Clearwater Jades act as mining nodes, you can spread the love and share your Jades with other players in co-op. Mining a node will spawn separate drops for you and your co-op partners. Since you’ll need to clear two to three worlds to get the 168 Jades required for one character, you can form a group of three players and rotate through each of your worlds. Mining all of the Clearwater Jades in all three worlds in co-op should result in more than enough materials for everyone!
Clearwater Jade farming route
The farming route for Clearwater Jade on the official interactive map is pretty extensive. Note that some Jades are in caves, denoted by a layered icon in the bottom right. In such cases, the route will include the location of the cave entrance.
Overall, the route is pretty straightforward if you follow the arrows. Very few areas are blocked off by the region’s World Quest: Chenyu’s Blessings of Sunken Jade. If you find a certain route leads into a solid stone wall, just skip that Jade and come back to it later once you’ve unlocked the area.
The only special thing to note is on route section 15, to the far north of Chenyu Vale near Yilong Wharf. Interact with the stone tablet by the water, then climb onto the grassy rock nearby and throw some Raw Meat into the water.
Attracted by the smell of food, a giant turtle will make its way toward you, its back covered in Clearwater Jade. Mine these, then interact with its head to ride it to where its family lives. There will be one more Clearwater Jade on a turtle at your destination, as well as a Luxurious Chest and an achievement.
You can only summon the giant turtle and ride it once. If you come back to this area, you’ll find the turtle family resting on or near the shore. There will still be some Clearwater Jades on their backs, but fewer than before.
