Not as difficult as Tom Hanks breaking open a coconut

Unlike Tom Hanks in Castaway, you can find coconuts in Fortnite easily if you know where to look. They’ll give some nutritional value to your character. Also, there are quests that require you to find coconuts in Fortnite.

Here’s where to discover them in the game.

How to find coconuts in Fortnite

You’ll retrieve coconuts in Fortnite by searching through ingredient boxes. However, they may drop other resources like corn or apples instead. There’s an element of luck, but you should be able to find a coconut fairly quickly. You can find ingredient boxes typically in restaurant and household kitchens. They don’t spawn too many, however.

Thankfully, there’s a bunch at Shady Stilts. It’s north of Creeky Compound and northwest from Brutal Bastion. Explore the area, and you’ll find many ingredient boxes inside the wooden buildings.

With more boxes in this location, it should be easy to get coconuts in no time.

Finishing the Summer Escape Quests

There is one mission during Chapter 4 Season 3 that has you collecting an apple, banana, and a coconut. You’ll receive 30K XP if you complete this quest. Keep exploring Shady Stilts, and you should be able to get all three ingredients easily. I was also able to finish damaging opponents within 45 seconds of getting out of the water after swimming at this location.

If you finish these Summer Escape quests, you’ll not only get 30K each, but you’ll also be given bonuses like the Wild Fronds back bling, the adorable Bugsy glider, and the Toasted Coconut emote. The latter has your character chopping up the fruit and making a summer drink out of it, straw and umbrella included.

You can also get the Amazon Luna Fortnite pickaxe if you’re quick enough!
