Where to find formal raiment for the masquerade in Dragon’s Dogma 2

He won’t need these

Dragon's Dogma 2 formal raiment location

One of the early quests for Brant in Dragon’s Dogma 2 tasks you with attending a masquerade in an effort to find the false Sovran. However, the masquerade is a fancy affair, and therefore you will need to dress in formal raiment as well as don a masquerade mask. Thankfully, Brant provides you with an Eventide Mask. But you will still need to know where to find formal raiment to wear for the masquerade in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Where to find the Courtly Tunic

You don’t have to look far to find the proper formal raiment. You can find the Courtly Tunic in the city of Vernworth. In the center of the Noble Quarter is the Watchhead’s Home, which is where the tunic is located. You can find the exact location on the above map. I waited until night so I could be all sneaky-like, but it doesn’t actually matter.

Once inside, proceed forward into the dining room and you will see a bag lying on the floor that you can interact with. This is the Courtly Tunic, which is the formal raiment required to attend the masquerade! Simply pick it up and you will now be able to equip it and the mask to attend the masquerade.

If you’re like me, you’re probably now trying to plot the perfect escape. After all, we essentially just stole someone’s fancy clothes, right? However, it doesn’t appear that this actually constitutes as theft in any way. You can simply walk right back out the way you came, right past the steward at the front, and back out into Vernworth.

Meet back up with Brant at the tavern to confirm you have the new duds, and that will proceed the quest to the next part in which you actually attend the masquerade. Make sure you equip the Courtly Tunic and Eventide Mask to properly attend the masquerade and hunt down proof of the false Sovran!
