In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Teal Mask DLC, a whopping total of 30 TMs have been added to the game. Some TMs, like Scald and Scale Shot, have already impacted the competitive scene. And while finding TM 181 to learn Knock Off might not elicit the same excitement right now, it’s still worth having in your pocket. This move both inflicts modest damage and knocks any item out of the target’s hand, making said item unusable until the end of the battle. It’s a useful move with serious strategic implications if you know how to use it.
So, where can you find TM 181 Knock Off — if you can find it at all?
Where to find Knock Off in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?
As stated, this TM is a new addition to Scarlet & Violet as of The Teal Mask. That said, many Pokemon can learn this move simply by leveling up. You may want to check if your monster of choice can learn this move without consuming a TM.
With that said, to find TM 181 Knock Off, you’ll want to start at the Infernal Pass fast travel point. From the sign, head west up the mountain until you reach a cliff with several ledges that stagger lower and lower. It’s easier to pull this off if you use Koraidon or Miraidon and glide off the mountain heading northwest until you spot a mountainous ramp with a trainer you can battle at the end. Ignore the trainer (for now) and look behind the rock. You’ll spot the shining Pokeball holding your prize, TM 181 Knock Off!
How to craft the Knock Off TM 181 in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Teal Mask
If you’d like to craft this very effective TM, you can do that too! You can craft this TM and a bunch more at the TM Machine, which is located right next to the Pokemon Center in Mossui Town. To successfully craft this TM, you’ll need a handful of very specific items, however:
- 14,000 League Points
- 4x Corphish Shells
- 4x Seedot Stems
It’s not too difficult to nab these materials. To nab some Corphish Shells, you’ll have to battle enough Corphish in Kitakami at locations such as Fellhorn Gorge, the Mossfell Confluence, and Reveler’s Road. You won’t be able to find Corphish in Paldea, so make sure you’re limiting your search to Kitakami.
The same can be said for Seedot; it’s a returning Pokemon in The Teal Mask, so it can only be found in Kitakami. Check areas such as Kitakami Hall, the Mossfell Confluence, or Paradise Barrens, to name a few. If you can find and defeat enough of these Pokemon to earn enough materials, you can head back to Mossui Town and craft TM 181 Knock Off!
