Mallowsweet in Hogwarts Legacy is a vital resource if you want to take on each of Merlin’s Trials. Completing these open-world activities will give you more slots for gear that you pick up around the world. The more slots you have, the less tedium you’ll have during your playthrough of Hogwarts Legacy.

In this guide, we discuss how to get Mallowsweet in Hogwarts Legacy in its seed and grown forms, and how long the process takes of planting the useful item.

The plant Mallowsweet in Hogwarts Legacy can be found in three different ways. The first is by visiting the Herbology classroom. There will be already-grown Mallowsweet that you can pick up as you explore the beautiful greenhouse. They won’t regrow, however, so this is only a one-time thing.

A more permanent way of collecting Mallowsweet is by simply buying them. You’ll want to head over to the only wizarding village in the United Kingdom Hogsmeade for that. Bring up the world map and then find the West Hogsmeade Floo Powder location. Press the square button (X on Xbox) to fast travel to the area. Once the game loads back up, turn left and cross the stone bridge. You should find the Magic Neep straight in front of you with green Lacewing Flies illuminating behind the glass of the building. On the left, talk to the shop owner.

The Magic Neep will sell you the Mallowsweet outright for 100 gold each. However, you can also purchase a seed packet that will ultimately save you money. It will only cost 200 Gold. You can also increase the yield from the growing process by purchasing Fertiliser for 300 Gold.

Once you have the Mallowsweet seeds, you’ll want to head back to the Room of Requirement to plant them. After you’ve placed the Mallowsweet on any size Potting Table, it will take 10 minutes of in-game time to be ready. While it does sound like a long time, you can do other activities while you wait like brewing Wiggenweld Potions and finding ingredients like Fluxweed Stems.

After the time is up, you now have Mallowsweet in Hogwarts Legacy. Congratulations!
