Where to find Spectral Husks in Genshin Impact

Spectral Husks in Genshin Impact can be collected and used for ascending characters and weapons. You’ll need access to Inazuma in order to find this resource, unfortunately.

Spectral Husks Genshin Impact locations

The Spectral Husks in Genshin Impact can be spotted on two Inazuma locales: Watatsumi Island and Seirai Island. They’re drops from defeating Specters. They typically hang around the beach areas around these two islands, hovering in the air. You’ll want a varied team of different elements, as these enemies can vary in type. One could be hydro, while the other is Anemo. There are seven different types!

Unfortunately, these areas aren’t accessible until you begin the story in Inazuma. You’ll have to play through both the Mondstadt and Liyue chapters of the narrative first before you can ascend certain characters (which is a pain, I know).

What are Spectral Husks used for?

This resource helps a whopping five characters ascend including Gorou, Aloy, Kirara, Kokomi, and Shinobu. Additionally, you can ascend nine different weapons, like the Everlasting Moonglow and Mailed Flower.

To help Gorou ascend, you’ll need this many Spectral Husks:

  • 1st – 3
  • 2nd – 15

You’ll then need more rare versions of this material, like Spectral Hearts and Spectral Nucleuses, which can be crafted by collecting weaker forms.

What else do you need to ascend characters like Gorou or Aloy?

To ascend Gorou further, you’ll need other resources as well. Sango Pearls can also be found in Inazuma, but you’ll need to beat Perpetual Mechanical Arrays to get Perpetual Hearts. Crystal Marrows are required, in addition to the Spectral Husks if you need to ascend Aloy from the Horizon series. They’re spotted in Yashiori Island.
