There’s a Stan Lee statue in Spider-Man 2 dedicated to the life of the legendary comic book writer. It’s spotted in the middle of an otherwise normal street; here’s where to find it.
Stan Lee statue in Spider-Man 2 location
Excelsior! You can spot the Stan Lee statue in Spider-Man 2 by swinging down by the Upper West Side. It’s the spot to the left of Central Park. On the map, look for a building that’s facing 45 degrees diagonally. The Stan Lee tribute is standing right next to a place called Mick’s Diner. It’s in the same spot it was in Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
There’s also some text under the fantastic bronze statue of this comic legend. It reads: “Dedicated with love to the man who nourished the hearts, minds, and souls of True Believers everywhere. Excelsior!”
Stan Lee passed away in November 2018 at the age of 95. However, like the movies, he did make a cameo in the first game speaking to MJ. “Love seeing you two together again,” he said. “You always were my favorites.” He was also a comic book store owner in the The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game.
Other Marvel references in Spider-Man 2
The Stan Lee tribute isn’t the only cool reference in Spider-Man 2. You can find the Wakandan Embassy and the Sanctum Sanctorum in New York. For the former, you should visit the Embassy with Miles to get a neat Black Panther nod. Additionally, you can find Aunt May’s grave and get a trophy for your troubles.
