The settlement of Melve is one of the first stops of your Dragon’s Dogma 2 journey, where a battle against a fiery beast awaits. But even if the showdown ends in victory, the fight is far from over, beginning the Readvent of Calamity quest. More specifically, you’ll be tasked with finding Ulrika without a clear indication of her exact whereabouts.
How to complete Readvent of Calamity in Dragon’s Dogma 2
To complete Readvent of Calamity in Dragon’s Dogma 2, defeat the dragon at Melve (second visit) and find Ulrika at Harve Village in the late afternoon. Return to Melve to tell Lennart what you discovered, thus completing Readvent of Calamity.
Starting the Readvent of Calamity quest
To start Readvent of Calamity in Dragon’s Dogma 2, complete one of Brant’s quests (main questline), like Monster Culling or The Nameless Village, and visit Melve twice. The second visit results in a fight with a dragon. After winning the battle, return to Melve in a few days and speak to Ulrika.
Go inside Ulrika’s house in Melve, and an argument between Martin and Ulrika ensues. This debacle leads to her leaving her beloved city, and Lennart pleads for her return. Although you may be inclined to think that she didn’t stray too far away from Melve, as I did, Ulrika’s location is quite a ways away. She can be found at Harve Village, to the left of Vernworth Castle.
If you aren’t sure how to get to Harve Village, talk to Brant to trigger the Monster Culling main quest or use a Pawn with the Quest Guide activated. Both options pave the way to the village, but other requirements may be needed for Ulrika’s location in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Where to find Ulrika
Based on my experience, Ulrika appeared in the late afternoon in front of Chandler’s General Store at Harve Village:
Interact with Ulrika to discuss her recent adventures, resulting in the next step in Dragon’s Dogma 2 Readvent of Calamity.
Return to Melve to talk to Lennart and tell him about your findings. To get there quickly, use the Oxcart at Vernworth Castle, which frequently travels to this area. Lennart should be around Ulrika’s house and will provide you with gold, the Ring of Grit, and XP.
Dragon’s Dogma 2’s Readvent of Calamity won’t be the last time you see Ulrika. She can appear at your house in Vernworth for escort missions. These quests are purely optional side content that may help raise Affinity. In addition, you can romance Ulrika by completing Home is Where the Hearth Is. Since you’ve already completed Readvent of Calamity, you’ll be able to romance her in no time.
