Violetgrass Genshin Impact

Violetgrass in Genshin Impact is a pesky resource to find in the game. However, if you’re able to grab it, you can ascend Baizhu, Qiqi, and Xinyan.

Violetgrass Genshin Impact locations

Violetgrass grows all over Liyue rather than in a few specific locations like Naku Weeds and Starconches. The best places to find Violetgrass in Genshin Impact, however, are The Chasm and around Lingju Pass.

While at The Chasm, spawn at the Tiangong Gorge fast travel point. Then turn right and climb on the cliffs. You’ll find purple flowers clinging onto the rock. The petals tilt towards the ground. This is Violetgrass. The Lingju Pass Violetgrass also appear on the rockfaces of these mountains. The best tactic to find this flower is to glide around the area and try to locate them from faraway.

Venti‘s great for traversal as he gains a burst of air from the ground. You can get a bit higher with this, letting you explore more of the mountainous area easier.

Where to buy Violetgrass

If you hate climbing (and I don’t blame you), you can buy Violetgrass from four different merchants. Babak sells the resource in eastern Port Ormos from Sumeru. He spawns into the game after Raiden Shogun’s Story Quest is finished.

A more accessible seller is Fengtai. He sells Violetgrass as well as other resources like Silk Flower and Clearwater Jade in Liyue’s Yilong Wharf. If you’re confused about where it is, it’s actually in the new Chenyu Vale region within Liyue.

Herbalist Gui in Bubu Pharmacy has this resource in stock as well. He’s located within the Liyue Harbor area. Lastly, head over to Wangshu Inn and speak to Verr Goldet. Each of these shopkeepers holds five Violetgrass. They sell them for 1,000 each. Every store restocks after three days.

Once you’ve gathered this resource, you can use it to ascend the aforementioned characters and create meals like Jade Fruit Soup and Heat-Quelling Soup.
