At some point in Warframe, every normal frame will have a Prime counterpart. They’re oftentimes a direct upgrade, having better base stats and easier mod customizations because of extra polarities. Some are worth it way more than their normal counterparts. Also, it’s tough to obtain some of them, so we’ll go over which Prime Warframes are worth it.
Which Prime Warframes are worth it?
In our list, we can give you a general idea of how much each Prime would cost whether it’s vaulted or not. On top of that, we’ll list why these are worth it over their normal counterparts.
Mesa Prime
The premier pistoleer of Warframe has a Prime that is a must-cop. Mesa is already extremely good at fighting against every faction except the infested, thanks to her Shatter Shield and Peacemaker. Her Prime counterpart gives her more uptime for her abilities, plus her looks are way better than the base version.

Mirage Prime
Mirage is the frame that can make any weapon feel overpowered. Wait until you get something like an explosive weapon and start clearing entire rooms with ease. It’s such a satisfying setup that should (admittedly) and will eventually get nerfed. Despite possible future nerfs to AoE, it’s a no-brainer to get Mirage Prime if you like the gunplay in Warframe.

Octavia Prime
Octavia is a very defensive, but very passive killer who can easily make it hours into a Survival mission. Her Prime variant, like every other on this list, just allows her to use her abilities more. Not to mention, she gets an extra pair of Mandachord instruments to use when creating your own melodies! Octavia has the lethality and drip, so she is a must-have.

Saryn Prime
She is one of the strongest frames right now. Even with the elemental damage reworks, the fact that she can apply corrosive and viral damage onto enemies in a big radius scales well into the endgame. Saryn’s Prime variant gives her an increased energy pool, allowing her to cast her abilities even more, along with having higher survivability.
You can buy Saryn Prime from another player in the Trade chat between 130 to 160 Platinum.
Volt Prime
Speed, defense, and excellent crowd control define Volt. If you want to squeeze that much more out of him either for Eidolon hunts, Elite Sanctuary Onslaught, or just farming Relic funs quicker, you have to invest in his Prime variant. Everyone loves a good Volt on their team, so why not bring your A-game and go out?
