Will Fusion tec be the savior for the PS3 and Xbox 360?

With the stunning success of the Wii, it was only a matter of time before the guys at In2Games started asking “What about us?” Speaking to MCV, the UK firm wants it to be known that they are getting ready to launch their own motion sensing hardware for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 — and interest, as well as support, couldn’t be higher.

“We are putting out ourselves we are getting support from a lot of other companies. I can’t name names at this point but there are publishers out there that really want to get on board. The success of Wii has shown everyone that this project is viable, and anyone making games for the Wii will now be able to bring those games to the other platforms.

We’re treating this as a platform rollout. There’s going to be a major spend on marketing as well – this is a really big deal for us. The Wii is a fantastic piece of kit. But Fusion changes the playing field again – if Wii is going to be the cheaper option, we can bring the better, more sophisticated option to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.”

Although In2Games has yet to announce to the world the release date or pricing on their Wii-killing technology, they have made it clear that they think they can level the playing field for competing consoles. Whether or not this technology will be key in slowing down the unstoppable juggernaut that is the Wii has yet to be seen.
