Ever one to celebrate itself, Blizzard is holding an in-game Hearthstone Anniversary Event in World of Warcraft. With portals, special fights, spawn timers, and a boatload of rewards, there’s a lot to keep track of.
World of Warcraft Hearthstone 10th Anniversary Event details
What is the WoW Hearthstone Event?
The Hearthstone 10th Anniversary Event is a weeklong celebration of the spinoff card game in the game that inspired it. It runs from March 11, 2024 through March 18, 2024. Upon logging in, players will receive the Let’s Play Hearthstone! letter from MC Farala with the Hearthstone Invitation Letter attached. This item will begin the brief quest chain below:
- It’s Hearthstone’s Anniversary!
- Speak with MC Farala in Valdrakken at the Seat of the Aspects.
- Play Hearthstone!
- Play (5) Hearthstone cards at a Hearthstone Game Table or (5) Wild Cards near a Hearthstone Game Table.
- Open the card pack that MC Farala gives you to add cards to your deck. These can be played when sitting at the table. Otherwise, purchase a Hearthstone Starter Pack from the nearby Shady Dealer for (5) Wild Cards that can be used when near a table.
For the duration of the event, Whizbang will summon a portal in each of the three event areas. The portal will appear in the sky with a timer bar that says “Something is coming…” Once the timer finishes counting down, Whizbang will appear and summon three combatants. Defeat them to receive the various prizes below (except for the Hearthstone Game Table Toy and Fiery Hearthsteed Mount).

- Durotar
- Southeast of Orgrimmar.
- Stormwind
- Near the docks.

- On the platform south of the Seat of the Aspects
What are the spawn timers for the WoW Hearthstone Event portals?
As of a Blue Post on the official forums around 6PM ET, Whizbang’s portals will now spawn simultaneously in all three locations on the hour, every hour. This is significantly better than the previous model of rotating locations.
What are the WoW Hearthstone Event rewards?
Each of the items below (except the Hearthstone Game Table Toy and Fiery Hearthsteed Mount) has a chance to drop from the minions summoned by Whizbang every hour. Simply loot their corpses at the end of the fight and keep trying each hour that you’re available.

- Collect 10 unique Hearthstone cards.
