The classic is even better with the right attachments.

XDefiant AK-47 Inspect

In XDefiant, weapon choice is only half the battle. You also need to consider the attachments, gadgets, and sidearms to bring along for the ride. This is a lot of choices to make with plenty of tweaking to be done, so it can help to have some assistance to get there. Here’s the best AK-47 loadout in XDefiant.

The AK-47 is a mid-range powerhouse that offers high damage with a low rate of fire. It’s perfect for lasering targets, though falls off at longer ranges with some rough recoil and especially tough handling in full auto. As such, we want attachments that help reinforce its position at mid-range, while also giving it some help for those longer ranges. With those goals in mind, you should choose the following attachments:

  • Barrel: Recon
  • Front Rail: Angled Grip
  • Optics: Reflex
  • Rear Grip: Heavy Grip
  • Stock: Padded Stock

If you feel comfortable with the Iron Sights, then you can swap the Reflex Optic out for the Quick Mag in the Magazine slot. Otherwise, this build adds a ton of Horizontal Recoil Control that should make its recoil more predictable and easy to account for. Some ADS bonuses are added in so you can strengthen the mid-range gunfights the weapon is known for.

Moving over to the Secondary Weapon, we’re looking to take the iconic M1911 to help with those short-range encounters thanks to its firepower. A Quick Mag for the Magazine and the Fabric Rear Grip assist this thanks to the improved ADS and Reload Speed. Finally, we want to round things out with an EMP Grenade for any Shields from the Phantoms.

Which faction is best with the AK-47?

The best factions for this playstyle are easily the Cleaners and Libertad. The Cleaners can provide some extra damage in a pinch with the Firebomb especially, while the Libertad’s BioVida Boost will save you in a pinch. If you’re more intel-oriented, the Echelon with the Intel Suit ability can help you orient your surroundings too. It’s just more meant for the start of fights rather than in the spur of the moment.
