Patch, redeemed
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was updated this week into 2.0 status, which is likely where the last big content drops end (barring future fixes). On the docket for this patch is a pair of fixes: one that prevents the player from wearing the extra swimwear costumes, and another that deals with a status display issue. But the main course here is obviously “Expansion Pass Wave 4,” otherwise known as the game’s big story DLC: Future Redemeed.
As a reminder, Future Redeemed is a completely separate story mode, similar to Torna in the prior main entry. You’ll encounter some familiar characters (across the series!), but you’ll be doing it with a different party, who starts at level 1. There are also a few mechanical and exploration-based changes, as well as quality of life features that essentially help cement it as Xenoblade Chronicles 3.5, and potentially a tease of what’s to come in the next inevitable entry.
The patch notes erroneously refer to 2.0 dropping on February 15, 2023 at the time of publication, but the correct date is the same launch day as the DLC: April 25, 2023. You can view the full rundown below.
